ORIGIN:
This is year two working with the incredible Don Mariano. He is a third-generation farmer who wanted to push operations further with new “processing methods such as naturals and anaerobic”. As he explains, “we dedicate our life to these plants and berries” because of their "prime quality”. This lot is a much-coveted and equally rare gesha variety meaning really big and juicy fruit notes in the cup.

FLAVOUR:
By bringing in multiple lots from Don Mariano, we can highlight the wide array of coffee produced at La Esperanza. While the Red Catuai in Shady Lane early this year was amazing, this lot is the shining star with its silky vanilla and floral jasmine that give way to heavenly notes of apricot. The tropical finish is rich with mangosteen, pineapple and lychee. This coffee is incredibly juicy and candy sweet, like chewing Double Bubble.
