FLAVOUR:
This is the first of three Baho coffees offerings and it showcases the depth, clarity and sweetness of the Gakenke district. The acidity is juicy, think of the delicious fist bite of a ripe red plum. It aligns nicely with the cup's robust chocolate and caramel sweetness. The notes come together with a hint of vanilla and shortbread, think twix bar. The medium body and finish provide more deep sugary notes, like a cherry coke or cherry chocolate-chip ice cream.

ORIGIN:

After 15 years working in coffee, Emmanuel Rusatira and his family decided to build their own washing station. The result is the Baho network, which now includes Fugi, Muzo, Humure and Bugoyi. There is no shortage of options for farmers in terms of stations but what sets Boho apart is Emmanuel willingness to pay up to 80% over the national farm-gate prices. Moreover, he assists with farm-level support, like soil sustainability, approaches to tree management, and even covering insurance costs. Agricultural quality compounds with the areas natural conditions, including its higher average temperatures, lower rainfall, and soaring altitudes to create a fruity and deeply sweet cup.
